The Great Invocation
The Great Invocation is a mantra or prayer given by Alice Ann Bailey in April 1945. Alice Bailey (1880-1949) was born in Manchester, England, and moved to the United States in 1907, where she worked as a writer and teacher. Bailey wrote more than twenty-four books on theosophical subjects, and she was one of the first writers to use the term new age.
Bailey wrote her works between 1919 and 1949, covering subjects such as esoterism, spiritual psychology, meditation, healing and much more. She described much of her work being telepathically channelled from the Tibetan Ascended Master Djwhal Khul.
From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.
From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
This mantra is considered to be a vibration of the Age of Aquarius as it resonates with the frequencies of Christ Consciousness. Many people believe that this prayer is the modern replacement of the Lord’s Prayer, that was given by Jesus Christ for the Age of Pisces.
