GENDAI REIKI

TREATMENTS

A practitioner begins a Reiki session looking for negative energy and sends Reiki to eliminate it. Subsequently, the practitioner will use Reiki to enhance spirituality so you will not resonate with negative energy again. Furthermore, you will continue improving your vibration to achieve a peaceful and abundant life.

IN PERSON TREATMENTS

In the original Japanese Usui Reiki, it is considered that negative energy causes illness. Blockages or distortions at the energetic level are therefore reflected in every aspect of our lives, creating fears, unwanted emotional reactions, a false perception of reality, harmful relational experiences and physical pathologies. Often, these energetic alterations also lead to the blocking of creative energy.

The method of receiving an in-person Reiki treatment from a practitioner is simple. The recipient remains clothed and comfortably lies on a couch or sits on a chair. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively, on or near the body using their intuition and training as a guide. At times with your consent I may use physical contact, and at other times I may work with the energy fields away from your body. Everything you share is confidential.

The techniques used in Reiki sessions balance, clear, and charge your energy system. This work will take place mostly in the unconscious parts of the mind while you remain in a state of calm and peace. The energies continue to work deeply into your system, recalibrating, reconfiguring, and transforming it over the days following a session.

As a healer and therapist, I do not medically diagnose or prescribe treatment. I do not offer psychic readings, channel messages or do anything else apart from being a channel for healing energy. I offer to serve as a facilitator in your self-initiated process of healing and transformation.

In your first session, we may explore areas that influence your state of wellbeing, such as your life and health history, stressors, belief systems and attitudes, your family and childhood history, relationships, diet, exercise, dreams and longings.

The healing treatment is typically done on a massage table, the lights are lowered and quiet. You remain fully clothed and shoes, glasses and any bulky jewelry are removed. Sheets, blankets and a bolster under the knees are provided for the utmost in comfort. If you are comfortable with closing your eyes during the session, you are strongly encouraged so that a deeper relaxation may occur. Throughout the session, I typically remain silent, allowing you to deeply relax into the treatment.

During a healing session you may feel waves of subtle energy gently moving through your body, you may experience heat or coolness from my hands and perhaps even see comforting colours or visions. While these are normal responses, it is also completely common to feel nothing during the session, but still be left with a sense of deep relaxation, overall wellbeing and inner peace.

What is important to remember is that healing works on all levels, so even though there might not be a physical sensation, the energy could be working on a deep emotional or spiritual level.

My work is intended to be in harmony with any other healing work. Regular sessions promote the consistent and unlocked flow of energy throughout the body, bringing the mind, body, and emotions into attunement with the soul, and restoring balance within the system.

REIKI - A COMPLEMENTARY THERAPY

Complementary Healthcare

Complementary healthcare is a term used to describe therapies or healthcare approaches that are used in addition to, or alongside, conventional care. Common uses of complementary healthcare include improving quality of life for those living with chronic conditions or in palliative care; post-surgical care; and helping anxious patients to complete orthodox treatments and procedures that have unpleasant side effects, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

People with chronic or life-limiting conditions such as multiple sclerosis, mental health problems (i.e. mild depression and anxiety), weight problems, musculoskeletal problems, or a history of substance misuse (including alcohol and drugs), can be greatly supported using complementary healthcare alongside conventional care.

Reiki

“Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy’, a term used to describe a natural system to help bring about an improved sense of wellbeing and a positive feeling of spiritual renewal. This tradition was founded by Dr Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication. It is a tradition that is open to any belief system and benefits may include deep relaxation and the promotion of a calm peaceful sense of wellbeing.

The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is simple. The recipient remains clothed and comfortably lies on a couch or sits on a chair. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively, on or near the body using their intuition and training as a guide. There is no massage or manipulation. Reiki can be used on the person as a whole, or on specific parts of the body. It is also possible to receive Reiki at a distance.

Reiki is taught by Reiki Master/Teachers, who have trained in the tradition passed on, in person, from Master to student. Students go through a process of initiation/attunement to the Reiki energy. They are then able to treat themselves and others, not only from a personal and emotional perspective, but also as an aid to individual development and spiritual growth.

Gendai Reiki Ho

Reiki was originally established as “Usui Reiki Ryoho” (meaning “Usui Reiki Healing Method”) by Mikao Usui in 1922 as “the way to make mind and body healthy on the basis of the Universal Reiki“.

Gendai Reiki Ho is not a new Reiki system. It can be referred to as “original Japanese Usui Reiki Ryoho in the Gendai Reiki style,” as it allows people in modern society to learn and practice the original Japanese Usui Reiki Ryoho easily and comfortably.

Gendai Reiki Ho is a practical Reiki system meaning ‘a practical method for modern people‘. It has been recognised widely throughout Japan and the world. It is a simple and practical Reiki method that can be used on a daily basis to fully enjoy its benefits. Its goal is to heal the mind and body and improve spirituality.
