PROCEDURE FOR A REIKI SESSION

A Reiki session must be safe and effective. It is safe if there is no negative effect on either the practitioner or client. It is effective if a client’s spirit shines. You should not look for an immediate and visible effect from a session.

The Reiki light in the Universe shines from your spirit when your life (true-self, soul, sometimes referred to as higher-self) resonates with the Universe.

THE TWELVE HAND POSITIONS

A Reiki session should proceed from the head to the tailbone, with four positions on the head, front torso, and back torso, in a sequence of twelve hand positions.

The head contains the brain, which is part of the body’s central nervous system. Sending Reiki from both sides, front and back of the head to the eyes, nose, and thyroid will promote relaxation, peacefulness, and natural healing.

Giving Reiki to the front of the torso from the thymus that is part of the central immune system, across the organs to the urinary bladder and genital organs, will balance your body and mind.

Giving Reiki to the back from the shoulders, spinal cord, kidneys, and adrenal glands to the prostate at the lower end will balance your body and mind.

These methods may restore function and overall balance in the cerebral nervous, secretory, respiratory, digestive, cardiovascular, urinary, sensory, reproductive systems, also muscles and bones.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A REIKI SESSION

  • Do not use your own energy, desire, or thoughts. You only transmit healing energy – Reiki.
  • Things happen at the right moment. Do not try to control anything.
  • Both you and your client are healed at the same time. There is no negative energy or fatigue involved.

PRECAUTIONS

  • Do not give a session to those who do not want it. You cannot force someone to heal.
  • Explain about the healing crisis to your client
  • Do not make it mysterious and mystical
  • Place hands gently, or hover
  • Ask your client for permission to touch them
  • Do not criticise or deny modern medicine
  • Do not pursue it when you encounter an unexplainable and mysterious experience

SET YOUR PURPOSE

  • Determine what you will do in this session.
  • Set your consciousness and send a Nentatsu affirmation (a harmonious declaration) to the Universe and the client. Nentatsu affirmation is a harmonious declaration to the Universe and your client.

Affirmation that you could use:

I accept the truth that the Universe has made me healthy. I have decided to maintain my life with Reiki to be healthier.

Let Reiki guide me to awakening and healing.

I am a perfect Reiki conduit with strong inner Reiki light. The light leads everything to harmony.

Reiki in the Universe will reach the root cause of illness through my hands. Reiki brings perfect harmony wherever it touches.

Let this person’s spirit shine.

Heal and give awareness to this person.

I am a perfect Reiki conduit with strong inner Reiki light. The light leads everything to harmony.

MINDSET DURING THE SESSION

  • Do not include your desires
  • Empty your mind
  • Trust the Energy
  • Do not use your energy or intention
  • Do not try to control the outcome
  • Do not focus on the client’s symptoms
  • Trust Reiki
  • Trust the client’s life force
  • Let Reiki handle everything
  • Relax

FINISH WITH GRATITUDE

  • Warm your hands to promote the energy flow
  • Follow your intuition and inspiration
  • Finish with gratitude
