What is Holy Fire® Reiki?

Holy Fire Reiki is a type of Reiki energy and a system of Reiki healing based on Holy Fire energy. It is a new form of Reiki introduced by the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) in January 2014. It is a spiritual energy, both powerful and gentle, that creates wholeness through purification, healing, empowerment, and guidance. The Holy Fire® energy is noticeably more refined and comes from a higher level of consciousness.

Within each person resides a compelling and extraordinary aspect of our inner nature that is composed of the pure, unaltered self. This part is connected directly to God consciousness and possesses the awareness and power of the Universe. It is unlimited in its ability to know and to do, and it is who we really are.

The energy of the Holy Fire® III Reiki class ignites and reveals the light of the Authentic Self, making it easier for a person to see and experience. Students find that their light, their wholeness and brilliance, is right there inside them. To some, the view of their Authentic Self has appeared as a beautiful light within; as brilliant as the sun. The remarkable qualities of their soul, life purpose, and their inner truth become revealed to them, and in addition, they feel they are now empowered to fulfill their life purpose. The influx of Holy Fire® III energy is a special experience that feels safe, steady and grounded. Rather than being aware of one’s Authentic Self in an altered state or as something happening in a high and distant place, it is experienced as being present within one’s physical body and as part of one’s everyday life.

One’s personality, ego, emotions, and thoughts rise to a higher level of consciousness so that one can view life with heightened awareness and enjoyment. Innovation, intuition, inventiveness, creativity, and solutions are more readily available and expressed in one’s intentions, goals, decisions and actions. After the process makes the Authentic Self visible to one’s inner awareness, the process continues to develop and further highlight its attributes. These include qualities such as intellect, talents, identity, authority and voice, as well as spirituality, personality and more.

Holy Fire® III Reiki originates from higher dimensions of consciousness that we call heavens. In the fourth and fifth heavens, the levels of consciousness there are aware of the dormant parts and can heal them, and as healing happens, more of the Authentic Self can emerge. As this occurs, an increasing level of serenity, vitality and joy expresses itself, accompanied by an awareness that this is who you really are.

In the Holy Fire® classes, the energy consists of three spiritual flames; one below the navel, one above the head and one in the heart. A shaft of light first joins the three flames together and then the energy spreads throughout the entire body sometimes appearing as thousands of small flames. This action takes place gradually over a period of weeks or a month or more. The energy will simply spread as small flames throughout the entire body. As this happens, it grounds the experience in present time and in the material world, making the experience feel very real.

Reiki – A Complementary Therapy

“Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy’, a term used to describe a natural system to help bring about an improved sense of wellbeing and a positive feeling of spiritual renewal. This tradition was founded by Dr Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication. It is a tradition that is open to any belief system and benefits may include deep relaxation and the promotion of a calm peaceful sense of wellbeing.

The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is simple. The recipient remains clothed and comfortably lies on a couch or sits on a chair. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively, on or near the body using their intuition and training as a guide. There is no massage or manipulation. Reiki can be used on the person as a whole, or on specific parts of the body. It is also possible to receive Reiki at a distance.

Reiki is taught by Reiki Master/Teachers, who have trained in the tradition passed on, in person, from Master to student. Students go through a process of initiation/attunement to the Reiki energy. They are then able to treat themselves and others, not only from a personal and emotional perspective, but also as an aid to individual development and spiritual growth. 

 

Reiki is considered a complementary therapy that can be used alongside traditional medical treatments to support overall well-being and relaxation. It is not intended to replace conventional medical care but can complement it, potentially helping with conditions like pain, anxiety, and depression.

In some hospitals and medical centers, Reiki is offered as part of palliative care and can be found in cancer support centers, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, and hospices. It is used to help patients manage stress and emotional pain during difficult times.

Course duration

The Professional Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Practitioner Diploma Course runs online over a one-year period. It is structured into 32 online training classes (2 hours each class – 65 hours in-person training), and 8 online group supervision sessions.

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements for the Professional Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki Practitioner Diploma course.

Coursework

Students are required to complete a portfolio of work that demonstrates that they have achieved the level of knowledge and understanding and practical application of Reiki to meet these standards in a professional capacity.

• 10 x 4-sessions Reiki treatments case study (75 Reiki treatments in total given to others, 40 of which are recorded treatments)
• 100 self-treatments recorded in a journal
• Written questionnaire with multiple questions

 

Online Practical Assessment

On completion of the 4 in-person classes and the required coursework, students will be able to register for the final practical assessment.

Online group supervision sessions are optional. They and are meant to provide connection for the students. These sessions are often used to discuss coursework and questions.

Fees

The tutor fee for 32 sessions of training, 8 online group supervision sessions, supervision and certification is £1,125.
