THE REIKI LAB WORKSHOP

 

This workshop is based on the National Occupational Standards for Reiki and will help aspiring and experienced practitioners to gain more competence and confidence to their Reiki practice.

It intends to offer an experience that allows for experimentation, expansion, and integration of healing abilities – both as individuals and as a group of people interested in helping others. It creates an opportunity for practitioners to collaborate and learn from each other as we share our perspectives and our unique personal healing gifts.

It is open to all Reiki 1 practitioners and is taught over two days (6 hours distant/guided learning).

This workshop can be taken as a standalone module and as a required module in the Professional Reiki Practitioner Diploma. It is a pre-requisite for registration with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

Introduction

We feel the ground shifting beneath our feet. Change is in the air. Many of us sense that this “breakdown” is in service of a coming together that will usher in “breakthrough” and want to add our energy to make the change the best it can be. Although these are difficult times, they bring extraordinary opportunity.

Our Reiki Laboratory intends to create a space where we can take all that we know and expand it into informing who we are. Our goal is to maximize our capacity to contribute to what is being born.

To accomplish this, we will begin by offering Reiki practitioners an experience that allows for experimentation, expansion, and integration of healing abilities – both as individuals and as a group of people interested in helping others.

Workshop Description:

Self-care

  • What is self-care?
  • Why is self-care important?
  • What do we mean by ‘working on ourselves’?
  • When does working on ourselves involve reaching out toward outside support?
  • The importance of a having a daily practice
  • The value of being part of a professional community

Giving Reiki treatments to others

  • Speaking and listening skills
  • Vision, Intention and Attitudes
  • Exploring, establishing, and discussing the other person’s needs and expectations
  • Personal boundaries and professional boundaries
  • Providing an appropriate and safe environment

Giancarlo Serra

    The Professional Reiki Practitioner Diploma is designed to enable a Reiki practitioner to register with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) to work in professional environments where this is required.
