Gendai Reiki Ho
Reiki was originally established as “Usui Reiki Ryoho” (meaning “Usui Reiki Healing Method”) by Mikao Usui in 1922 as “the way to make mind and body healthy on the basis of the Universal Reiki“.
Gendai Reiki Ho is not a new Reiki system. It can be referred to as “original Japanese Usui Reiki Ryoho in the Gendai Reiki style,” as it allows people in modern society to learn and practice the original Japanese Usui Reiki Ryoho easily and comfortably.
Gendai Reiki is taught in person and structured in 4 levels:
- Level I Shoden
- Level I Okuden
- Level III Shinpiden
- Level IV Gokuikaiden (Master)

Only translations supervised by Hiroshi Doi, the founder of Gendai Reiki Ho, and the Gendai Reiki Network are official manuals. The official manuals can only be purchased by a Gendai Reiki Master, and a certificate of a Gendai Reiki Master must be submitted at the time of first purchase.
Professional Reiki Practitioner Diploma
The Professional Reiki Practitioner Diploma is the highest professional recognition for Reiki practitioners in the United Kingdom. it’s an international professional qualification which demonstrates that the student has followed a specific programme of study that adheres to the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Core Curriculum for Reiki training (as devised by the Reiki Council).
This programme is accredited by the UK Reiki Federation for registration with the government funded Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the independent UK regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners. All assessments and verifications have been conducted by qualified Assessors and Verifiers of the UK Reiki Federation.
Qualified students will be eligible to apply to the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council and receive the CNHC Quality Mark. Those who complete the course will be competent to practice Reiki in all settings i.e. private practice, in organisations and care homes including NHS establishments.
Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki
Holy Fire ® Reiki was introduced in January 2014 by William Lee Rand, founder and president of the International Center for Reiki Training. It is both powerful and gentle and provides purification, healing, empowerment and guidance.
Holy Fire® Reiki is a type of Reiki energy and a system of Reiki healing based on Holy Fire energy. Holy Fire energy has been active in the world since ancient times.
Holy Fire® Reiki training is structured in two levels:
- Holy Fire® III Reiki, I & II
- Holy Fire® III Reiki Master/Teacher
Holy Fire® Karuna Reiki®
This class is the next step after Reiki Master and is both a Practitioner and a Master class. You will be able to teach this class online or in person. Those who take the class will be able to use the Karuna symbols in their Reiki sessions and teach the complete Holy Fire® III World Peace Karuna Reiki® Training. You will also be able to teach Reiki I&II and Reiki Master as Holy Fire® III World Peace classes Online or in person.
It is complete with eight practitioner symbols, one master symbol, four ignitions and two meditations that are guided directly by the Holy Fire® energy.
Karuna Reiki® which was the first expression of this class, was developed by William Lee Rand and other healers at the International Center for Reiki Training in the 90’s. The Holy Fire® aspect of this system was received 21 years later on January 23, 2014, and was added to both the Reiki Master and the Karuna Reiki® systems.
Reiki Practitioner Expansion
Students of all my Reiki courses receive support through a combination of online and in-person sessions.
Practicing and living Reiki involves the kinship of like-minded people that are excited to share the love of Reiki. Being part of a network of Reiki Practitioners and healers can inspire, motivate, and support you through challenges and improve your self-esteem. These sessions are open to all my Reiki students to provide them with an opportunity to practice and expand their skills, abilities and knowledge in a safe and protected environment.
Students who wish to move forward in their Reiki training should regularly attending Reiki Practitioner Expansion sessions (a minimum of one session per month), to ensure consistent progress and engagement with the Reiki discipline and its practice.
Students who do not regularly attend these sessions will not be able to register for this class until they have the required level of knowledge, skills and experience.
